Job Title: Research and Development Engineer

Location:  Plymouth, Minnesota

Degree:    BS/MS: Electrical Engineering

Job Duties

This successful candidate will be responsible for design and development of EDM power supplies and control circuits. A strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit theory, principles and troubleshooting is mandatory, with an emphasis on high-energy circuits. You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be able to read and thoroughly understand circuit, ladder and logic level diagrams. You will work closely with our engineering team and suppliers to turn concepts into fully functional systems.

We are looking for a self starter with a strong work ethic and high energy level with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects under short timelines and with minimal supervision.

You must have excellent problem solving and analysis skills and the ability to write specifications, technical plans and product documentation.

Experience

A minimum 10 years experience at an EDM manufacturer with at least 6 years of R&D development experience.  A proven track record in taking concepts through to finished product.  Hands-on experience in EDM applications is a plus. Strong soldering skills and the ability to check and modify printed circuit boards and cables is required.
